Liam Williams gets bulldozed by huge Premiership prop in cringeworthy moment - Wales Online walesonlineFollow us SportLiam Williams gets bulldozed by huge Premiership prop in cringeworthy moment The hit prompted a chorus of "Ooos" from the crowd as Williams was driven back walesonlineBookmark Share SportBy Dylan James Liam Williams will be feeling this one for a few days! Wales star Liam Williams got bulldozed by Northampton Saints prop Emmanuel Iyogun in the Premiership at the weekend. Having re-signed with new club Saracens, Williams started his second match for the Premiership big guns, alongside fellow Wales internationals Nick Tompkins and Rhys Carre. Tompkins was making his 200th appearance for the English club in a landmark game. Due to an injury to Elliot Daly in the run-up to kick-off, Williams was switched to start at full-back with Brandon Jackson taking the Welshman's place on the wing. Having played much of his international career at 15, it wouldn't have been a hard switch for Williams, but nothing could prepare him for the tackle he was going to receive in the game. Jinking inside nicely and evading a Saints player, Williams got his legs pumping to find a gap in the defensive line. He peeled right of hooker Curtis Langdon, only to be met with the unstoppable force of 6ft 2in, 19 stone Iyogun. The 25-year-old loose-head hit Williams with gut-wrenching force, sending him flying backwards. The commentary team of Nick Mullins, Tom May and David Flatman were blown away by the hit on TNT Sports. "Williams, back from Japan and into the arms of Manny Iyogun!," said Mullins. "That was just about the most painful part of his journey from the other side of the world. "Liam Williams looked for the counter," explained Flatman. "At least to make a positive carry, and runs directly into Manny Iyogun. Worth avoiding. He's a strong bloke in his own right, but..." Sarries went on to win the match 39-24 at the StoneX Stadium, thanks to tries from Fergus Burke (two), Wales international Rhys Carre, Theo Dan, Jamie George and Ben Earl.
